I'm currently visiting Sydney and I have to say Newtown is one of my favour ite places ever. Its full of cute little shops and nice cafe's and places to get awesome vegan eats.
My favourite of all of these is 'Green Gourmet'.
Does amazing mock meat and there five grain rice is so good.
And in addition to making amazing vegan chinese food, they have an all vegan buffet AND tofu icecream.
Definatly a place to go on Sydney :)

Sun set Soup
Derived from a recipe from La Dolce Vegan, by Sarah Kramer and therefore was always going to be delicious.
IT was a meal I cooked for my wonderful friend Elle.
Sun set Soup
1/2 cup red lentils (soaked for 1+hrs)
1 can (420g) crushed tomato
2" ginger grated
1 small onion
400g pumpkin cubed and steamed.
Chop onion and brown it in a big saucepan.
Add the lentils, tomato and 1 cup of water and the pumkin and simmer for 20minutes.
Add the grated ginger more water if necessary and continue to simmer until the pumpkin smooshs when pressed with a fork or a spoon.
Take off the heat and smoosh or blend all the pumpkin depending on how lumpy you like it.
Should be swirls of red and orange and serves 2-4.
Mind blowingly good.
